08.12.2018 – Hellfire Bay, Cape Le Grand National Park

No way – Lee’s not doing “hard walking” trail – would probably take her 6 hours – and she hasn’t come prepared with water…..

The sheltered Hellfire Bay is another fantastic location for a day at the beach with nearby toilet facilities, a sheltered BBQ area. As with most of the region, large rocky outcrops reach into the ocean. The origin of the name “Hellfire Bay” is thought to be after St Elmo’s fire – a bluish flame-like electrical discharge that sometimes occurs above ship’s masts.
