13.10.2018 – It’s Saturday again!

The weather is not conducive to roaming around outdoors exploring this weekend.  The rain continued, cancelling the Saturday morning markets at the Showgrounds and making us wonder whether to continue with plans to explore nearby areas. Grabbing our rain coats, we decide on a drive towards the coast, starting at Shorncliffe and Sandgate in the Moreton Bay area. This area of coast has been developed to provide walkways along the shore, fishing and picnicking areas and facilities. On fair weather days we could easily imagine these places being very busy with families enjoying it all. Today, a few braved the rainy conditions to walk their dog or do some fishing.

The homes in this area are interesting and very different to the homes we are used to in WA and we enjoyed driving around to see the varied styles.
