02.09.2018 – Wonnerup House, Busselton, Western Australia

Located off Layman Road and near the Vasse Estuary Wetlands, is Wonnerup House, a National Trust protected series of buildings constructed from 1859. The grounds are wide and open and the main home looks across wetlands. We took time to wander around, looking at the stables and the blacksmith’s shed. A building away from the main house contained a kitchen with a huge fireplace and ovens – no doubt ‘top of the wozza’ for those times.
