12-13.04.2018 – Yass Free Camping

North-west of the RV Friendly town of Yass, over the Yass River and next to Yass Public School is Joe O’Connor Park where free camping is allowed for self-contained vehicles for up to 48 hours.  The park is a short walk to the main street of Yass.   There is a dump point a short drive further north.

We spent the first night overlooking Yass River parked on a slope, but when the ducks kept making noise for the entire night, we moved closer to the abandoned railway bridge over the River closer to town, the next day.  The ducks came along to visit during the day, as did lots of other birdlife, but we had a quiet night that night and on more level ground.
