Our two days at Jindabyne went very quickly – as they say: time goes fast when you’re having fun – and we needed to get back to Penrith where we had our Suzuki and belongings stored from living there last year.
As we left Jindabyne, we were farewelled by several kangaroos that soon disappeared as we drove by. The scenery changed as we progressed, making it another good drive. At times, the clouds seemed so low it was like we could reach up and touch them.
We took a break at Cooma to get information from the tourist office there as we would like to come back to the area again with more time to explore the region. We went for a short walk and looked at lines of mosaics about the area and came across a war memorial with an amazing sculpture dedication to Corporal EA Corey by the citizens of Monaro in 1979.
It was late afternoon when we arrived at Penrith. Thank goodness we had the weekend to sort through most of the ‘stuff’ that needs doing!
Mike started work at Sydney RV on 5 February, busy with preparations for the Newcastle show where he will be working from 8-11 February.
